In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by one son - Steven Owens and wife, Nicole, of Gaffney, SC.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-7:30 PM, at White Columns. At other times, they will be at the home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, February 24, 2012, 3:00 PM, at Cherokee Falls Baptist Church, with Revs. Richard Brown and Tim Knotts officiating. Entombment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers serving are David Hogue, Wendell Whelchel, Butch Self, Bryan Tindall, Dave Stephens and Ronald Leagon.
