Roger Dale Ramsey

Roger Dale Ramsey, 66, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, he was born February 27, 1947, son of Dora Mae Hamby BeShears of Shelby and the late Samuel Ramsey, Jr. He was the owner of Louie’s Bar and Grill #2 in Shelby, he was a loving son, Father, and grandfather. He was loved by everyone who knew him and a friend to all he knew. If he saw someone in need, he was the first to meet their need; he would truly give someone the shirt off of his back.

PRECEDED: In addition to his father, is preceded in death by one brother, Steve Ramsey; and one grandson, Julius David Mullinex.

SURVIVED: In addition to his mother, in whom he loved very much, he is survived by two sons, Greg Ramsey and wife Brenda of Ellenboro, Jeff Elmore and wife Brenda of Boiling Springs; three daughters, Amy Lee of Shelby, Dana Ramsey Jones and husband Jammie and Kim Marlowe both of Cherryville; two brothers, Larry Ramsey and wife Daisy of Lattimore, Darrell Pruitt and wife Pat of Morganton; 12 grandchildren, Houston Mullinax, Bryson Lee, Logan Barr, Kinslee, Keelee, and Bailee Jones, Paris Ramsey, Amy Grace Boone, Brooke Tomberlin, Josh Mathis, Danielle Bradley, John-Michael Marlowe, and Emily Parker; 9 great grandchildren; last but not least his loving staff at Louie’s in whom he loved and they loved him very much.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6-8:00 pm Wednesday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.

CLERGY: Rev Ken Faulkenberry will be officiating.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association, 1017 N. Washington St  Shelby, NC 28150
