Ronald Bruce Ramsey, "Ramsey" passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 29th while watching birds and appreciating nature. He was born in Tulsa Oklahoma October 2nd, 1944 to R.B. and Nelle Ramsey. He attended Gardner-Webb College and graduated from Campbell University. He spent his working years in the classroom and in managerial positions within manufacturing, while loving and caring for his family.

Ron is survived by his wife of 50 years, Merry Lynn, son David, daughter Alecia, son Todd Higgenbottom and wife Kendra, and beloved hound dog, Buck Owens Ramsey. Also surviving are sister, Dr. Shirley Luckadoo and her children and grandchildren of Salisbury; Sister-in-law Cheryl Schlatter and husband Jeffery of Wilmington and their children and grandchildren; Brother-in-law Dr. Richard Evans and wife Julia of North Stonington, Connecticut and their children and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home, 4076 Highway 221-A, Cliffside, NC 28024, on Thursday, July 5th from 6 pm until 8 pm.

A memorial service will be held at Terrell Baptist Church, 4146 Slanting Bridge Road, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673 on Friday, July 6th at 1:00 pm.
