Ronald retired from the City of Gastonia after 33 years of service. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Gastonia and lived in the Jenkins Heights Community.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sara Pittman Walker, children, Ronald Walker, Jr. and wife Teresa of Shelby, Carrie Ann Walker of Dallas, Daniel Walker and wife Marsha of Gastonia, Lynn Walker of Gastonia; special daughter, Sara Elizabeth Walker of Dallas; brother Johnny Ray Walker and wife Joyce of Bessemer City; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; best buddy, Macon Ray; best pal his dog, Baby Girl.
Ronald was preceded in death by his grandson, William David Walker; brother, Herman Walker; sister, Juannie Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday at Fairview Baptist Church, Gastonia with Rev. Andy Broughton officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:30 pm Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services in Bessemer City.
