Ronald Lee Graves
Shelby--Ronald Lee Graves, 56, fondly known to all as "Painter", quietly passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at his home at 406 Gardner Street, Shelby, NC. He had been through many trials in the past few months pertaining to his health.  God graced him with a peaceful passing.

He was born on May 27, 1956, in Charlottesville, VA, to Mary Ellen Gordon Wiggins of Gaffney, SC. and the late Leroy Watkins Graves, Sr. Ronald was a painter by trade and was of the Baptist faith. He lived his life as he wished, according to what he felt in his heart. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

He lived in the home with his Special Friend and Care Giver, Lisa Walker Brown, whom will miss him dearly. Lisa and "Painter" had known each other a lifetime. Ronald also leaves behind a daughter, Kim Graves of Gaffney, SC and her mother, Linda Graves of Harris, NC; sisters, Joyce G. Earls and husband Opel of Mooresboro, NC and Myrtle W. Bell and husband Eddie of Kings Mountain, NC; brother, Terry W. Wiggins of Inman, SC. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Graves, his father, Leroy Watkins Graves, Sr., and many, many siblings.

No formal service is planned. We will have a private service. You may wish to honor him by reaching out to someone in need this Christmas. We wish to thank all who helped us care for Ron over the past few months, making life better for him in his final chapter.
