Mr. Humphries was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman Humphries and Mary Earls Humphries; 2 brothers, Eddie Humphries and Kinnie Humphries; and 2 sisters, Barbara Fueller and Deborah Stacy.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Curtis Humphries of the home; 1 daughter, Krista Lyerly and husband David of Faith; 1 son, Ronald Chad Humphries and wife Candy of Burlington; 2 brothers, Wyan Humphries and wife Teresa of Gaffney, SC, and Sammy Humphries and wife Vickie of Marietta, SC; 2 sisters, Brenda Humphries and husband Ronald, and Marjorie Bridges and husband Gene, all of Shelby; and 3 grandchildren.
