MOORESBORO - Roscoe "Bob" Hutchins, 83, of Harrill Road, Mooresboro, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, he was born on July 07, 1931, a son of the late V .W. and Essie Mae Waters Hutchins. He retired from Cone Mills Corporation - Cliffside Plant after 45 Years of Service. He was member of Trinity Baptist Church. Bob loved helping people, always putting others first and himself last. He also loved animals, carpentry work and pro-wrestling.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Jean Eaker Hutchins. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Ann Hutchins of Mooresboro; his grandson, who he raised, Michael Hutchins and fiancee Charlene Bryant; his sisters, Sadie Ruth Henson of Ellenboro and Dorothy Chapman of Ellenboro; his beloved dog, Pixie Poo.
A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Frazier officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00am-9:45am on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
