Rose Hall Melton Eudy

Blacksburg -- Rose Hall Melton Eudy, 71, of 401 North Mountain Street, passed away Monday, October 23rd, 2017, at the home of her daughter.

Born in Welch, WV, she was the widow of David Lee Eudy and the step-daughter of Jack Riley of Hickory Grove and the daughter of the late Clementine Rose Riley. Mrs. Eudy worked as a Truck Driver and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Eudy is survived by three sons, Ernest Helms of Hickory Grove, Craig Melton, Jr. of Clover, and Christopher Ray Melton of Blacksburg; two daughters, Lisa Devina Melton of Blacksburg and Charity Rose Henson of Gastonia, two grandchildren raised in the home, Logan Melton of Blacksburg and Angel Melton of Gaffney; one daughter-in-law, Danielle Melton of Blacksburg; two sisters, Mazie Smith of Iager, WV and Lena Day of Raysal, WV; six grandchildren, Ethan Helms, Cheyenne Whaley, LeeAnn Whaley, Kendra Henson, Sophia Melton, and Amber Stewart; and three great-grandchildren, Cecily Melton, Victoria Melton and Luke Melton.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Eudy was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde Edward Scott and Charles Ray Davis, and her sister, Dolly Stanley.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at 4:00 pm at St. John United Methodist Church, 105 South Rutherford Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702 with Rev. Don Boshell officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery. Craig Melton, Jr., Christopher Melton, Logan Melton, Jerry Martin, Ben Henson, and Ernest Helms will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1612 North Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.

The family will be at the residence of her daughter at 116 East Jones Street in Blacksburg, SC 29702.
