Mr. Roy Hardy McNeilly, 65, of 218 Beechnut Creek Rd., Casar, NC, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010. Services were held at Corinth Baptist Church, Casar. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. McNeilly served our country in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin McNeilly and Velma Wright McNeilly; and 1 brother, Elbert McNeilly.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta Mary Taylor McNeilly; 2 sons, Paul Hardy McNeilly and Daniel Kirk McNeilly, both of Casar; 1 daughter, Julia McNeilly Austin and husband Mike of Cornelius; 3 step-children, Andrea Yancey, Robert Yancey, and Earl Yancey; 5 brothers, Dempsey, Fletcher, Maynard, Russell and Archie McNeilly, all of Casar; 2 sisters, Susan Ledford of Casar, and Loretta Newton of Polkville; 3 grandchildren; and a number of step-grandchildren.
