Roy Ledbetter
FOREST CITY - Roy Ledbetter, 84, of Byers Road, Forest City, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on August 18, 1930, a son of the late Brady Pinkney and Pauline Morrow Ledbetter. He was retired from Stonecutter Mills, was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of Harriet Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son, Kenneth Teaster. He is survived by his wife, Frances McSwain Ledbetter; one son, Gerry Wayne Ledbetter and wife Lesa of Rutherfordton; two daughters, Donna Larch and husband Larry of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Janice Faucett of Cliffside; one step-daughter, Brenda Teaster of Forest City; one daughter-in-law, Beth Teaster of Cliffside; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
 
A Celebration of Mr. Ledbetter’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Harriet Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Po Jones and Rev. Kenneth Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
