Smyrna -- Mr. Roy Rogers Bolin Sr., 66, of 4600 Canaan Church Road, passed away on February 25, 2019, at his residence.

Born in Whitmire, he was the husband of Donna Ghent Bolin and the son of the late John Bolin and Lura Duncan Bolin. Roy previously worked as a newspaper deliveryman and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, surviving Mr. Bolin are one son, Roy Bolin Jr. of Smyrna; one daughter, Betty Jo Bolin of Sharon; one brother, Rex Bolin of Smyrna; two sisters, Judy Hall of Waterloo and Dale Wyatt of Hickory Grove; three grandchildren, Hunter Bolin, Peyton Crabtree, and Shiland Turney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Bolin.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Graveside services will he held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 3:00 pm at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Foster officiating. Jeff Murray, Danny Wyatt, Gene Wyatt, Zach Mckean, Adam Turney, and Hubert Sutton, will serve as pallbearers. Following the graveside service, the family will meet in the fellowship hall at Smyrna Baptist Church.
