Born April 22, 1927 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Jonas Amos and Missie Swink. She was a retired farmer and also worked at the Lawndale Cotton Mill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy McNeely, one son, Lee Smith, one brother, Flay Smith, and one sister, Leonia Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby McNeely and wife, Janet of Lattimore and Daniel McNeely of Casar, two daughters, Inez Brackett and husband, Roger and Faye Huffman and husband, Ronald all of Casar, two sisters, Louise Mintz of Rhodhiss and Sue Oaks of Polkville, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00PM until 7:30PM at Stamey Funeral Home

The graveside service will be Wednesday at 3:00PM at Corinth Baptist Church with Revs. Cecil Buff and Jeremy Peeler officiating.

Burial will be in church cemetery. Ruby's son, Lee Smith, cremated remains will be buried along side Ruby at the gravesite.
