Ruby Louise Nix Hipp, age 85, of Shelby, died on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Wendover Hospice House. A native of Rutherford County, she is the daughter of the late Roy Nix and Hettie Cordelia York Nix. Mrs. Hipp was a Christian lady who enjoyed the simple things in life and loved her granddaughter and two great grandchildren. She was a member of Community Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Berry Hipp.
She is survived by her son, David Hipp of Shelby; daughter, Sherri Black and husband Thom of Shelby; aunt, Veleria York of Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Carrie Anders and husband Rusty of Holly Springs; two great grandchildren, Bayleigh and Jensen Anders.
Graveside Service: 2:30pm Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Cleveland Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
