Russell Whitworth, age 90, of Brown Watterson Drive, passed away peacefully Monday, March 22, 2021.

He was born June 17, 1930 in Cleveland County to the late James Burton and Sussie Barrett Whitworth.

Russell was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He farmed and grew watermelons. He enjoyed his family and spending time with his grandson Gage.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Stella Mae Dollarhide Whitworth; son, Clifford Hill, daughters, Willie Mae Shufford, and Diane Hester.

Left to cherish his memory is sons, Randy Whitworth (Angela), Bill Dollarhide; daughters, Stella Huffstetler (Bruce); Debbie Bird, Carolyn Foster, and Linda Kurley; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Wednesday March 24, 2021 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services with rev. Jason Foster officiating.

His family will receive friends from 12 to 12:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at the Whitworth Family Cemetery.
