Mooresboro- Ruth Blanton Sarratt, 83, of Mooresboro died peacefully at her home on Friday June 20, 2018. She was the daughter of the late William Clyde Blanton and Ocie Mae Whisnant Blanton.

Ruth Blanton was very outgoing and loved her family dearly. She was a long-time member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Ruth will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Homer Sarratt Jr., three bothers William Neal Blanton, Harold Dean Blanton, Burl William Blanton.

SURVIVORS: Left to cherish her memories are two daughters Nancy Dean Owens Burgess and husband Todd and Earlene Owens Johnson and husband Mike both from Mooresboro, 5 grandchildren Maranda Adams and husband TC Burgess, Amy Noblett and husband Brain, Phillip Wade Martin and wife Krista, Stephanie Johnson and Michael Johnson, 5 great-grandchildren Jaylynn Daniel Moore, Whitney Vyleen Johnson, Brooklyn, Holland and Jacob Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on July 23, 2018 at 2pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside with a visitation on July 22, 2018 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Justin Roper and Rev. Kevin Hamrick

Entombment will be at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery at 1225 College Ave., Boiling Springs, NC 28017 following the service on Monday.
