Ruth Grigg Williams, 85, of Fallston Road, Shelby, passed away Friday, June
17, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System - Cleveland in Shelby.

She was born on April 9. 1931, in Lincoln County, to the late Charlie Grigg
and Gertie Geneva Coffey Grigg. She was retired from Barretts in
Cherryville and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack
Harrison Williams, Sr.; two brothers Tarrence and Lawrence Grigg and one
sister, Dora "Dot" Adeline Grigg Avery.

She is survived by her son Jack Harrison Williams, Jr. of Shelby; daughter,
Jeannie W. Terry and husband Rev. Mark of Lawndale; and sister Ermintrude
Roach of Lincolnton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. Condolences may be made online at

The funeral service will be held on Monday at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist
Church of Cherryville with the Dr. Vince Hefner and Rev Mark Terry
officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church
Cemetery.
