Ms. Ruth Rogers Edgar, 80, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010. Services were held at Central United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the family plot at Sunset Cemetery.
Ms. Edgar was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hamer and Clara Ellenberg Rogers; 2 daughters, Barbara and Elizabeth Edgar; and 2 brothers, Tommy and Will Rogers.
She is survived by 2 brothers, Robert Hamer “Bobby” Rogers, Jr. and wife Lillian, and Sam Rogers, all of Shelby; 1 nephew; 1 great-nephew; and 1 great-niece.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Central United Methodist Church, 200 East Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28150; or to the organization of the donor’s choice.
