Ruth Ware King, age 89 resident of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on March 4, 2016. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Thomas Franklin Ware and Christeen Lenora Ross Ware. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of 46 years, W. Norman King; and her second husband, Arthur Eugene King; brother, Arthur Bunyan Ware. Ruth graduated as Valedictorian from Bethware High School in 1943, Gardner-Webb Junior College in 1945 and retired from Southern Bell after 30 years of service. She was a devoted Christian and member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC where she was a member of the Gleaner B. Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer with Kings Mountain Hospital and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Christian Anderson and staff for the loving care of our mother.

6 Grandchildren: Shawn Pettus, Jenna Ross, Alyssa Edwards, Lauren King, Fain King, and Andrew Feltz.

9 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: First Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC Monday, March 7, 2016 3:00 P.M. Dr. John Sloan, officiating.

VISITATION: 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday evening, March 6, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday in the Stained Glass Room of First Baptist Church.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
