Ruth Winn Greene, age 95, passed away Wednesday, July 01, 2015 at Peak Resources in Shelby. She was born in Cleveland County on May 29, 1920 to the late Summie Clatus and Ethel Reeves McSwain Winn. Ruth was a devoted loving, caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband G. C. Greene; brother, James Winn; granddaughter, Heather Greene; and a great grandson, Madison Whitaker.

Ruth is survived by three sons, Bill Greene and wife Carolyn of Ellenboro, Tommy Greene and wife Connie of Boiling Springs, and John "Bud" Greene and wife Barbara of Shelby; three daughters, Julia Greene, Ginny Greene, and Chris Greene all of Boiling Springs; one brother Laddie Joe Winn of Boiling Springs; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 4:00pm at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith McKinney and Rev. Teresa Blanton officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00pm in the Life Enrichment Center and other times at the home of Tommy and Connie Greene 115 Lindsey Lee Lane, Boiling Springs. Burial will follow the service at Cleveland Memorial Park.
