Sam Price, Jr., 79, of 319 Davis Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Linda Griffin Price and son of the late Sam Price, Sr. and Marie Holcombe Price. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from Hamrick Mills as a supervisor, also worked at Newark, and was a school bus driver. He loved his family, reading, politics, and was an avid collector.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Jeff Price (Lisa) of Conway, Mike Price (Jamie) of Gaffney and Dennis Price of the home; a step-son, Terry Mullinax of Shelby; a step-daughter, Tammy Massey (Doug) of Shelby; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Merlin Mullinax and Juanita Mullinax.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Buster Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at their respective homes.
