Samuel Carl Karsmizki, Sr.

Samuel Carl Karsmizki, Sr., 70, of 802 Bridges Road, passed away Sunday, April 10th, 2022.

Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Raymond Karsmizki and Nimmie J. Karsmizki. Sammy previously worked at Eaton Corporation and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He loved to play the upright bass, having played in two local bands, "South by South" and "Carolina Bluegrass". He also loved riding his Harley, the Clemson Tigers, Kyle Busch, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Mr. Karsmizki is survived by three sons, Samuel Carl Karsmizki Jr. (Grace) of Texas, Donald Karsmizki (Misty) of Gaffney, and Jason Ross Karsmizki (Shawnta) of Clover; one sister, Carolyn Broach Middleton (Walter) of Texas; one brother, Michael Karsmizki of the Philippines; three grandchildren, Savanna Karsmizki, Emily Rose Karsmizki, and Kourtney Karsmizki; and his good friend, Becky McDaniel McFee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Ray Karsmizki.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Larry Laws officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes.
