Cherryville - Mr. Samuel Mark Brittain, 48, of 112 Delview Drive, passed
away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Mark was born in Cleveland County, NC on July 21, 1967 a son of James Allen
Brittain of Cherryville and Wanda Morrison Farrell of Shelby. He was a
house carpenter for Brittain Interior Trim and attended Plainsview Baptist
Church of Lawndale and participated with the N.C. Baptist Association
Mission Team. Mark enjoyed anything that had to do with nature and animals.

In addition to his parents survivors include his stepmother, Carolyn
Brittain of Cherryville; a daughter, Brittany Brittain of Dallas; a brother,
Reggie Brittain of Cherryville; a step brother, Jeff Homesley of Bessemer
City; maternal grandmother, Ruth H. Morrison of Shelby; a special friend,
Patricia "Patty" Stroupe and numerous nieces, nephews and other family
members.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 1:00PM to 2:30PM at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service and at other times the
family will be at the home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, May 20, 2016
at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service Chapel with Dr.
Ernest Speagle officiating.

Burial will be at Plainsview Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawndale.
