Sarah Amelia Westmoreland Turner

Sarah Amelia Westmoreland Turner, 83, formerly of 281 Bridges Road, passed away Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Donald Turner and the daughter of the late Virgil Westmoreland and Thelma Moss Westmoreland. Mrs. Turner worked as a bank teller and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.

Mrs. Turner is survived by two sons, Russ Turner and Randy Turner (Michelle), both of Blacksburg; three sisters, Nancy Crocker of Gaffney, Martha Ball of Simpsonville, and Reba Allison of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Sara Turner, Brody Turner, John Turner, and Mary Beth Doby; and one great-grandchild, Melodie Turner.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery, 618 Old Buffalo Church Road, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Ricky Scruggs and Rev. Harold Johnson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Moss, Johnny Hulsey, MD Floyd, Harold Harrison, Robbie Smith, Roy Dean Smith, and Ronnie Allison. The family will receive friends following the service.

The family will be at their respective residences.
