Sarah Dolan Weatherman, age 80, of Ellenboro, NC, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born May 13, 1933 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Enoch McDaniel and Viola Searcy McDaniel. She was a faithful member of Crossway Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting and reading her Bible. Sarah was especially known as a prayer warrior.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Charles Buck Weatherman; two sisters, Polly Craig and Mary Sue Pritchard and brother, Albert McDaniel.
Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Terry of Ellenboro and Penny Bradley and husband, Johnny of Forest City; son, Rev. Pherson H. Weatherman and wife, Carol of Ellenboro; three sisters, Anniebell Blackwell, Lottie Craig both of Black Mountain and Edna Wishon of Forest City; two brothers, Carl McDaniel of Forest City and Wayne McDaniel of Woodstock, VA; two sister-in-laws, Jeanette Vance and Shirley Shehan both of Polk County. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Johnny Bradley, Angie Butler, Pherson Weathermon, Renee Putman, Marina Weatherman, Cam Weatherman, Christy Fonteney, Toby Terry, Michelle Johnson, Wayne Finley and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at noon on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Wilson Baptist Church with Reverend Pherson H. Weatherman and Reverend Neil Murray officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
