Sarah Frances Ross Hicks
 Sarah Frances Ross Hicks, 76, of 1000 Hwy. 18 North in Lawndale, went home
to be with the Lord unexpectedly on August 28, 2014 at Carolinas Medical
Center in Charlotte.

Born May 5, 1938 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie
Clarence Ross and Ollie Bell Marr Ross.  She worked at Century Furniture for
25 years and was a faithful member of Bingham Memorial Church.  Mrs. Hicks
served as secretary for 30 plus years and was on the flower committee,
communion committee and the beautification program.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, William
Austin "Billy" Hicks, Jr.; three brothers, Bud Ross, David Ross and Randy
Ross; and three sisters, Margaret Walker, Edna Campbell and Judy Huffman.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William "Bill" Austin Hicks,Sr.;
son and precious daughter-in-law, Teddy and Diana Hicks of Lawndale;
daughter, Debbie Hicks McNeely of Vale; two brothers, Dallas Ross and wife,
Linda of Conover and Chester Ross of Conover; three sisters, Mary Pigford of
Conover, Bessie Willis of Vale and Evelyn Swink of Hickory; three
sister-in-laws, Jean Ross of Conover, Pauline Hicks and Blanche Hicks both
of Lawndale; loving and precious grandchildren, Michael, Jessica and Sarah
McNeely all of Vale, Casey, Daniel, Emily and Garrett Hicks all of Lawndale;
the apples of her eyes, greatgrandchilren, Hunter, Madyson and Nathaniel
McNeely all of Vale and Brianna and Austin Wooten of Vale; companion, Muffin
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home &
Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston.

Funeral Service: 4:00 PM, Sunday, at Bingham Memorial Church, Lawndale.  The
body will be placed in the church thirty mintues before the service.

Officiating: Rev. Ronnie Ledford and Mr. Allen Davis

Burial: will follow in the church cemetery

Memorials: May be made to Bingham Memorial Church, 6928 Casar Road,
Lawndale, NC 28090
