Sarah Jane Nelson Smith, 77, of 716 Sipes Street, Kings Mountain, passed
away Thursday January 14, 2016 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.

Born March 4, 1938 in Wayne Co., WV, she was a daughter of the late Leander
Nelson and Polly Williamson Nelson. She was a homemaker and was a member of
Charity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Charles Floyd Smith, one grandson, Boyd Franklin Peace, two brothers, James
Nelson and Herb Nelson, four sisters, Darlene Blankenship, Della
Blankenship, Minnie Sparks and Cora Vance and one half brother, Bill Nelson.

Survivors include one son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Kathy Hammonds of
Lawndale, three daughters & sons-in-law, Karen & Terry Winebarger of Granite
Falls, Rebecca & David Fronius of Kings Mountain and Virginia & Mike Ware of
Kings Mountain, three grandchildren David Fronius, Eddie Fronius and Emilee
Ware, two great granddaughters, Briella Fronius and Myla Fronius and
numerous loved nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be 2:00PM until 3:00PM Sunday at Charity Baptist Church.
At other times, the family will be at the home of Virginia & Mike Ware 108
Silver Fox Lane Kings Mountain, NC 28086.

The funeral service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Charity Baptist Church with
Rev. Michael Ware officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
