Sarah Louise Hicks Roberson, 71, of Tot Dellinger Rd., died Thursday August 27, 2015 at Carolina Healthcare Cleveland. She was born on November 26, 1943 in Cleveland Co., a daughter of the late James Miles and Ollie Jane Woods Hicks. Mrs. Roberson was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, retired payroll clerk with Mauney Hosiery Mill, Kings Mountain, and proudly served her country in the US Marines.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Earl Roberson and sister's Martha Short, Lillie Sanders and Mildred Biddix.

Survivors include her daughters; Hope Roberson and Earlene Roberson, both of Cherryville, a sister; Margaret Roberson of Cherryville and a brother; Luther hicks of Fallston.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Mull officiating. Burial to follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday at Carpenters Funeral and Cremation Services from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home.
