Sarah Vivian Jenkins, age 82, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County on October 25, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Brownie Lee Jenkins and Ruby Brunette Johnson Jenkins Sipe. Vivian was a member of Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed riding the TACC van and going to the Life Enrichment Center. She loved to sell Buddy Poppies on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, and going to the VA Hospital in Oteen to play Bingo with the veterans. In addition to her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by a sister, Naomi J. Wright.

Vivian is survived by a sister, Nancy Grigg and husband Garland of Shelby; Nieces and Nephews, Lynda Webber and husband Scott, Gina Grigg and James McMurry, and David Grigg all of Shelby, Shirley Wright, Douglas Wright and Sophia Bartlett all of Rutherfordton; other loving nieces and nephews, Staff and participants of Life Enrichment Center, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Carolyn Clontz and Betty Mellon.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Scott Caldwell and Rev. Mike Shumate officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will follow the visitation at Oak Springs Baptist Church, 2591 Rock Road, Rutherfordton, NC.
