Sarah White Moss, 89, of 405 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 29, 2016, at home. Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the wife of the late Loyd Victor Moss, Sr., and the daughter of the late Thomas F. White, Sr. and Laura Benton White. She was a member of Cherokee Falls Church Of God(New Beginnings) and was retired from Burlington Industries.
Left to cherish her memory are her son - Loyd Victor Moss, Jr. of Blacksburg, SC.; her daughters - Laura Moss Black, Vicky Moss Richardson and Aubrey Moss Evans all of Blacksburg, SC; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters - Ann White McDaniel of Blacksburg, SC, and Edna White Couch of Gaffney, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Evans; brothers - Dervin White, Clyde White, Gordon White, Thomas White, Sr., and Junior White; and one sister - Emma Jean McDaniel.
A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, with Revs. Lucky Earls and Eddie Bolin officiating. At other times, the family will be at the home of Loyd Moss, Jr., 351 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC.
Pallbearers serving are Bobby Richardson, Jr., Ethan Richardson, Jacob Richardson, Timothy Moss, Brian Moss, Landon Mertz, and James Gossett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Building Fund, Hopewell Baptist Church, 511 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC, 29702, or to Hospice Care Of SC, 1612 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, SC, 29340.
