Mrs. Scarlett Lorlita Richard Barron, 61, of Cameo Drive, Cliffside, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at her residence. A native of Mecklenburg County, she was born on August 25, 1950, a daughter of Marvin Edward and Janie Taylor Richard of Davidson. She was a CNA and Director at Hunter Oaks Nursing Home.
She survived by her sons, Lester Troy Schrest of Maiden, Marvin Von Sechreat of Mooresville, and Luther Brian Barron, Jr. of Concard; three sisters, Ginger Richard holder of Cliffside, Juanita R. Honeycutt Jackson of Concord, and Rhonda R. Mayer of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Camron Blake and Alexis Christian Sechrest, Malachi and Isabella Sechrest, Nakikiah Barron, and Lillian Starr Sechrest.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at McKinney - Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Newell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Richard Family Cemetery, Cliffside.
