Scott Edward Kowalski, 67, of 7009 Old Laurel Road, Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at CarePartners Hospice-Solace, Asheville.

Born in Monroe County, NY on August 5, 1955, he was a son of Carl Edward Kowalski and Marjorie Jean Duell Kowalski. He was a insurance salesman, avid golfer and sports fan.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Keith Kowalski and grandmother, Jennie Duell.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lynne Marie Farmer Kowalski; one son, Jason Kowalski of Pine Mountain; one brother, Blake Kowalski of Rochester, NY; one sister, Marcal Kowalski-Smith and Patrice Calcagno of Rochester, NY; aunt, Shirley Duell George; uncle, Ronnie Duell both of Rochester, NY; brother-in-law, Lawrence Farmer of California; sister-in-law, Lorraine Farmer Young of Gastonia; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; and great nieces and one great nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church 8173 Old NC 18 Lawndale, NC 28090 with the Rev. Allan Barlow officiating.

The burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donors choice.
