SHELBY- Sean Whitworth, 43, died suddenly at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. A native of Cleveland Co., his father is Randy Whitworth and wife Donna of Grover and mother Faye Peeler and husband Dennis of Fallston. Sean put God first, then family, and then his church family in his life. He truly lived a full life always doing what he loved. He was a very talented man who performed in several local theater groups and could sing any genera of music.

PRECEDED: He was preceded in death by his brother, Jayson Whitworth and special aunt, Wanda Whitworth.

SURVIVED: He is survived by step sisters, Dawn Burgin and partner Chris Bumgardner and Wendy Burns, both of Fallston and LeeAnn Lawson and husband Travis of Lawndale; step brother Kevin Mertz II and wife Tracy of Grover; Grandparents, Floyd and Juanita Whitworth of Grover and James and Joyce Dover of Shelby ; special cousin Haley England and her children, Maddie, Delaney, Elizabeth and Caroline England; Aunt Kathy Benton and husband Paul; cousin, Paul Michael; niece Katlin; nephews, Blake, Baylee, Collin, Carter and Jacob; and the special young man he cared for, Brandon Laton

VISITATION: the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church

OFFICIATING: Rev. Roy T. Byers and Rev. Leland Kerr

BURIAL: will follow the service at Grover Cemetery
