Seytoy Cobb, 84, 600 Peeler Road, Blacksburg, SC, died June 15, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC. A native of Cherokee County, he is a son of the late Seymour and Mary Moss Cobb. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a retired steel fabricator.
He is survived by one son - Russell Alan Cobb of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren: and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son - Rocky Seytoy Cobb; one daughter - Renee Cobb Johnson; brothers - Austell Cobb, Bunt Cobb, Dave Cobb, Carl Cobb, Lawson Cobb, Linell Cobb and Woody Cobb; sisters - Lucy Childers, Rena Cobb Smith and Lillie Cobb Lanier; one infant sibling; and special friend, Libby Childers.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-7:30 PM at White Columns. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Sunday, June 17, 2012, 3:00 PM, graveside at Hambright Cemetery, Peeler Road, Blacksburg, SC, with Rev. Willie Lanier officiating. At other times, they will be at the home of his nephew, Billy Cobb, 558 Peeler Road, Blacksburg, SC.
