KINGS MOUNTAIN- Sgt. Melvin Scott Craig, 55, passed away Thursday April 28, 2016 at his residence. A native of Greenville, SC, he is the son of Melvin Henry Craig and Pearl Jean Bolin Martin. He served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Marines.

PRECEDED: He is preceded in death by one brother, Aaron Craig.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Gail Thomas Craig of the home; two sons, Christopher Craig and wife Hope of Mooresville, Jeffrey Craig and wife Heather of Grover; one daughter, Jaime Chipman and husband Ryan of Gastonia; one brother, Michael Craig and wife Gail of Piedmont, SC; and 13 grandchildren.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 11:00m am Monday in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

CLERGY: Rev. Jamal Edwards

INTERNMENT: Burial will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Military Honors by the Rutherford County Honor Guard and he will be led to the cemetery by the Patriot Guard.
