Shannon Phillips, 50, of 1016 North Post Road, passed away on Monday, July 31st, 2023, at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC .

Born in Shelby, North Carolina, Shannon was the son of Cobern Pruitt. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and caring for others. He loved his family, especially his daughter, and he loved his cat, Tuna.

Surviving Mr. Phillips are his father, Cobern Pruitt; his foster father, Richard Hisler (Dale); his daughter, Amber Phillips; his grandson, Peyton Woody; his brothers, Roger Hardy and David Campbell (Renee); his sister, Summer Lockhart; his uncle, Mo Hisler (Kim); and his niece, Autumn Littlejohn.

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Byers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 11:00 am - 11:30 am at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Memorial services will immediately follow at 11:30 am at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Minister Dale Hisler officiating.

The family will be at the residence and request privacy during this time.
