Sharon P. Gagner
Sharon P. Gagner, age 59, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at her residence.
 
     Sharon was born August 2, 1953 in Dutchess County, NY to the late Louis A. Palmeri and Helen Silvers who resides in Rutherfordton.  She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1971 and was a dance instructor for over twenty-five years. She taught dance at the Diane Griffin Dance Academy and Little Broadway Dance Studio.  Sharon also was a Teacher’s Assistant for many years for the Rutherford County Public Schools and worked for the Rutherford County Public Library.  She was of the Catholic Faith and loved her pets. Sharon enjoyed music, reading and watching movies.
 
     In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Palmeri and step-father, John Max Silvers.
 
     Besides her mother, survivors include her lifelong friend and companion, Darryl Ledbetter of Forest City; one son, Todd Gagner and wife, Kiley of Shelby; one daughter, Courtney Hardin of Morganton; three sisters, Claudia Cole and husband, Robert of Rutherfordton, Lori Palmeri also of Rutherfordton and Debbie Silvers of Hyde Park, NY; two brothers, Dean Silvers and wife, Cathy of Texas and Steven Silvers of Morganton. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Wyatt Hardin, Mia Gagner, Emma Hardin and Zoe Gagner.
 
     A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Ms.Victoria Chadwick officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.  A private inurnment will take place on a later date.
