Sheila Coffey Trotter, age 63, of Forest City, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her son's residence.
Born June 23, 1952 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Raymond Monroe Coffey, Sr. and Grace Roberts Coffey. Sheila worked many years for Burlington Industries-Caroleen Plant. She was a member of the Apostolics of Rutherford County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Jerry Eugene Trotter; three brothers, Raymond Monroe Coffey, Jr., Lester Earl Coffey and John Coffey and a sister, Phyllis J. Coffey.
Survivors include four children, Donald Trotter and fiancé, Patty Crowder of Forest City, Tracey Trotter and wife, Cynthia of Henrietta, Angie Trotter and fiancé, Jackie Dover of Forest City and Michael Trotter and wife, Shela also of Forest City; one brother, David Coffey of Caroleen; three sisters, Diane Cole of Caroleen, Barbara Baldwin of Virginia Beach, VA and Peggy Philbeck of Spartanburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kyle Trotter, Haley Trotter, Shelby Wilson, TJ Trotter, Taylor Trotter, Brittany Trotter and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Apostolics of Rutherford County, 136 West Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043 with Reverend Bill Chapman officiating. At other times the family will be gathered at 2497 Harris-Henrietta Road, Henrietta.
