Shelia Dianne Detter, 61, of 670 McKown's Mountain Road, Gaffney, SC, went home to be with the Lord, September 3, 2013, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. Born in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Florence Pauline Sullivan Wicks. She was a member of Turning Point Church, Gaffney, SC and was a nurse for many years.
Surviving are three daughters - Amber Parker of York, SC, Leslie Alkassar of Blacksburg, SC, and Brandy Detter of the home; fourteen grandchildren; and two brothers - Edward Wicks and Virgil Wicks both of Gaffney, SC. She is preceded in death by three brothers - Tommy Boyd Wicks, Donnie Wicks and Ronnie Wicks.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 6, 2013, 7:00 PM, at Turning Point Church, Gaffney, SC, with Revs. Mitchell Phelps and Timothy Bowers officiating. Interment will be Saturday, September 7, 2013, 11:00 AM, at Oakland Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
