Shelia Venice Conner, age 42 of Ellenboro, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Conner was born on May 2, 1974 in Shelby, NC to Vincent and Mildred Mathis Turner. She was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church and had worked as a medical technician for most of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Conner; one son, James Devens, Jr.; two daughters, Brittany Conner and Allison Conner; two sisters, Audra Mincy and Dawn Alford; one grand daughter, Helena Grace Devens; one grandson yet to be born; special friends, Anna Green, Diane Tate, Mark and Crystal Padgett, and Paul and Shirley Fainey; numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and other family also survive.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Plainview Baptist Church with the funeral service at 2:00pm with Minister Marshall Dill and Brian Melton to officiate. Burial will follow.

Pallbearers will be her son and nephews.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her mother, Mildred Turner, 2291 Business Highway 74, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
