| Shirley A. Hester, 72, 321 E. Jennings Street, Lincolnton, NC, passed away September 4, 2012, at Lincoln Nursing Center, Lincolnton, NC. Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the wife of the late Lloyd T. Hester, II, and was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Hester Wyatt Beattie.
She is survived by four sons - Edward Gene Hester, James M. Hester, L. Tommy Hester, III, and John F. Hester all of Lincolnton, NC; one daughter - Sharon H. Leonhardt of Lincolnton, NC; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters - Juanita Spencer, Brenda Beattie and Sadie Beattie all of Gaffney, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sons - Richard Hester and Terry Hester; and one brother - Billy Beattie.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012, 4:00 PM, graveside at Oakland Cemetery, Gaffney, SC, with Rev. Tim Osment officiating. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
