Shirley Dean Mabe Wise, age 85 of Mary's Grove Rd. passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Cardinal Healthcare in Lincolnton. She was born December 5, 1932 in Caldwell County to the late Dennis and Ruth Smith Mabe. Shirley was employed with Carolina Freight and then retired after 28 years from Cherry-Linc Fuel. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Shirley was a talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting and quilting. She also had a love for reading.
Survivors include her husband, Joe David Wise; daughter, Jodean Davis and Rusty Wallace of Lincolnton; son, David Wise and Catherine of Lincolnton; granddaughter, Savannah Wise of Las Vegas; and grandsons, Nolan and Jacob Smith of Lincolnton.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Dr. Bill Lowe officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service.
