Solan Charles Moss, Sr. age 79, resident of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Cleveland Co, NC to the late Forrest Evans Moss and Laura Jolly Moss.   He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eula Annette “Ann” Childers Moss, 1 sister, Mildred Whetstine.  Mr. Moss was an active member of Temple Baptist Church where he served as Deacon since he was 18, Sunday School teacher and superintendent.  He served in the United States Army, Military Police, during the Korean War and retired from Fiber Industries, Earl, NC.

Daughter: Vickie Ann Moss and fiance Bob Shull, Gastonia, NC

Brothers: Earl Moss and wife Vee,  Kenneth Moss and wife Gail, Larry Moss and wife Linda,  all of Kings Mtn. NC

Sisters: Virginia Gibson, Betty Hughes, and Sheila Ledford and husband Jerry, all of Kings Mtn. NC

Brothers-in-laws: Jim Childers and wife Pat; Bill Childers and wife Jeanette

Sisters-in-laws: Helen C. McAbee and husband Don; Mary C. Hambright and husband Gary.

5 Granchildren: Christopher, Angel, Matthew, Martena, and Andrew.

2 Great Grandchildren: Piper and Cayden

2 Step-Grandchildren: Don and Sherry

4 Step-Great Grandchildren: Amber, Julia, Andrew, and Cory.
