Stanley N. Morgan age 62, died Wednesday February 24, 2016 at his home. Born in Rowan County on November 23, 1953 he was the son of Fred A. and Druscilla Roseman Morgan of Blacksburg SC. Stan graduated from Shelby High School in 1971 and was a member of the Shelby High School marching band winning multiple awards playing the trumpet. Stan graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1975 with a BS in Business Administration. Owner of SNM Enterprises, Inc., Stan was an independent contractor for Velan Inc., who supplied nuclear rated valves to Duke Energy's nuclear plants located in the Carolinas.

In addition to his parents, Stan is survived by a brother, G. Steven Morgan of Spartanburg SC; two sisters, Susan M. Morgan of Chicago, and Sandra Morgan-Dodrill and husband Chris of Shelby; and a nephew, Steven A. Morgan of Shelby.

The family will have a private service.
