Steve Augustus Sellers, age 72 of Kenwood Rd passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. He was born March 30, 1946 in Burke County to the late Samuel Asbury and Elsie Bright Heavner Sellers. Steve was a Cherryville New Year's Shooter and enjoyed Demo Derby and tractor pulls.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Martin.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Kiser and husband, Morris and Betty Trammell, both of Cherryville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating followed by firing of the muskets from the Cherryville New Year's Shooters. The family will receive friends Saturday at the home any time after 1:00 PM, 220 Kenwood Rd.
