Steven Thomas Lackey, Jr., age 46, of Martin Road, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Carolinas Medical Center - Charlotte.

He was born June 26, 1975 in Gaston County to the Roxanne Crosby Farnsworth and the late Steven Thomas Lackey, Sr.

Steven was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors. He loved his coon dogs. He also was a true family man and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his mother, Roxanne Crosby Farnsworth; sons, Nathaniel Thomas Lackey, and Mitchell Lackey; brothers, Kelly Low, and Justin Lackey; sister, Christy Low; uncle; Lee Crosby, aunt; Diane Crosby Self; fiancé, Carly Smith; stepson, Brock Smith; stepdaughter, Reese Wall; and numerous close friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services .

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
