Steven Wayne Wilkie age 50 of Indian Land SC, died Tuesday August 20 2013 at his home. Born in Cleveland County on April 23, 1963 he was the son of Norma Blankenship Lambert of Earl and the late Howard Wilkie. He was employed by Interstate Electric. Worked as an electrician for 29 years. Formerly a member of IBEW local 379. In addition to his father, Wayne is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Irene Blankenship, Grady and Orabell Wilkie; and a step sister, Myra Stine.

In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by a girlfriend, Yelena “Ellen” Dorgham, of Indian Land;  a stepson, Phillip Champion of Lake Norman; a brother, Alan Wilkie and wife Beth of Shelby; Aunts and Uncles, Rick and Patricia Camp of Shelby, and Dennis and Evelyn McCracken of Shelby; Special friend Lewis Izzi; and a faithful companion of 13 years, “ Ziggy”.

Funeral will be held on Saturday August  24, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with  Rev. Jim McClure officiaing. The family will receive friends following the service.
