Sue Kathryn Warlick DePriest, 95, formerly of Oak Grove - Clover
Hill Church Rd, Lawndale, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Kings Mountain
Hospice House.
Mrs. DePriest was born in Cleveland County on April 27, 1915, to the late
Clarence C. Warlick and Margaret Belzora Falls Warlick.
She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Polkville Baptist Church where
she helped deliver literature to shut-ins as long as her health permitted.
She also worked for the Cleveland County Board of Elections at the Delight
precinct.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son,
Donald DePriest; four brothers, Andy Y. Warlick, Lester T. Warlick, Hugh
Lee Warlick, and Warren C. Warlick; and three sisters, Vera Spangler, Mittie
Spangler and Faye Whisnant.
Kathryn is survived by a daughter, Patricia D. King and son-in-law Peter B.
King of Shelby, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service at
Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston and at other times at the home of Patricia and
Peter King, Shelby. Condolences may be made online at

Fallston.
