Susie Marie “Sue” Freeman, Age 91 of 209 Charles McGinnis Road, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at her home. She was born on August 10, 192l the daughter of the late Charles Marcus and Bessie Heafner McGinnis. Sue was a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church and retired from Brig-A-Knit of Lincolnton, as a pattern cutter. Her husband Johnny Richard Freeman preceded her in death as well as her parents, brothers: M. E. McGinnis, Russell McGinnis and Fitzhugh McGinnis, Sisters: Carrie Lee Tutherow, Fannie Mae Drum and Pauline Elmore.
Survivors include four sons, Dennis C. Harrison (Denise), Johnny D. Freeman (Cynthia), Ronnie R. Freeman (Katrina), Donald M. Freeman (Teresa), eleven grandchlden, Lutricia Bennett, Jonathan Freeman, Dianna Bass, Tiffany Harrison, Ryan Freeman, Devin Freeman, Donald Bryan Freeman, Summer Harrison – Locklin, Julie Freeman, Heather Freeman, Chris Harrison, seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Bean and Rev. Ken Faulkenbury. Burial following the servcie in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 3:45 at the church prior to the service.
