Suzanne McSwain Hunsucker, age 75 died Sunday February 2, 2014 at her home on Forest Way Drive. Born in Cleveland County on August 24, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Max Dale and Margaret Lee Cabiness McSwain. Suzanne was a former member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She graduated from Gardner Webb College with an associate degree in Business. She retired from Crepaco in Charlotte, where she was an office manager. She loved and cared for her family and was very dutiful about sending cards on birthdays and anniversaries. She enjoyed going to the beach and traveling and was an avid fan of Charlotte Checkers Hockey. In addition to her parents, Suzanne is preceded in death by a sister, Vanessa “Van” Willis.

Suzanne is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mike R. Hunsucker; a son, Shawn Hunsucker of Rock Hill, SC; two daughter, Julie Sturgis and husband Terry of Rock Hill, SC. and Leesa Kane and husband Tim of Fort Mill, SC; a sister, Linda Carpenter and husband Dwight of Lawndale; seven grandchildren, Brandi Denton, Shelley Denton, John Bruton,Carley Sturgis,  Meaghan Kane and husband Chris, Nikki Kane, Tiffany Blakley and husband Justin; seven great grandchildren, Michael Parrish, Christen Kane, Reece Kane, Trystan Kane, Sage Kane, Bethany Blakley, Jaxson Blakely, and Adyson; and brothers and sister-in-law, Ernie Willis of Shelby, and Tim and Glenda Hunsucker of Charlotte.

Funeral service will be on Thursday February 6, 2014 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.  Pastor Steve All will be officiating.
