Mrs. Sybil McCarter Riley, 90, of 112 N. Thompson Street, Shelby, NC passed away Monday, December 20, 2010. A Graveside Service was held in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Anthony Riley; her parents, Conrad Beatty and Nell Hawkins McCarter.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Riley Eskridge and husband Bill of Cheraw, SC and Jean Margaret Riley of Shelby; 1 grandson; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC; or to: Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
